Self-produced by members of the band along with English hip-hop producer Alexander Grant, known by his moniker Alex da Kid, the album was released by Interscope Records and. ![]() It’s a little more gritty than its predecessor, though it fluctuates between the typically positive and upbeat sounds the band is known for and a harder, Las Vegas style rock. Imagine Dragons Smoke and Mirrors is a really strong album. With this release, Imagine Dragons has equated themselves to established Vegas alternative groups like The Killers and Panic! At the Disco. It was the time when I really realized just how deep Imagine Dragons could get. ![]() Their songs on this album are riddled with greater meaning, while the sound isn’t compromised at all. ![]() If you haven’t ever listened to the entire album, do yourself a favor give it a listen.
